It is considered in some schools of thought that the root cause of illness is not necessarily from the germs and bacteria we come into contact with, but from our own state of being, which in turn leads to a vunerability and then results in illness from these pathogens.
So, if we are suffering from an illness, it would follow from this that as well as treating the physical illness, the root cause should also be attended to. This root cause, however, may not be known.
This is where the following process can aid in the resolution of a presenting illness or even better, in the pre-illness stage, when one has noticed a small negative change in their general wellbeing.
With all the usual EK tools at hand (paper, pens, etc..) - also read and understand - the Warp-Drive: self-alignment.com/docuwiki/doku.php?id=developments:matthewhudson:warp
Find a space to be in.
Represent the illness and place that in relationship to you.
[for each answer below, generally use a new sheet of paper and place it in relation to you and everything else as it is completed]
"And what is around that?" (ref. illness)
"And what else is around that?" x 5
"And what do you know now?"
"And what is around you?"
"And what else is around you?" x 5
"And what do you know now?"
Now for each piece of paper you have created (usually 14, but can be less and sometimes more):
[start on the sheet that you are most drawn to, we'll call this (sheet n), now put your attention on the new information as it emerges]
"And what is around that (sheet n)?" (create a new sheet with this answer on - use this sheet for the next question)
"And what is around that (sheet n+1)?" x 5 (again create a new sheet every time)
"And what do you know now?"
[start again at the central sheet (sheet n), then putting your attention on the new information as it emerges]
"And what is inside that (sheet n)?"
"And what is inside that (sheet n+1)?" x 5
"And what do you know now?"
Once you have done the two operations above (around and inside) for all the sheets created in the first part of the exercise move on:
[moving your attention back to your original representation]
"And what do you know about that now?" x 7
"And what is the difference between what you knew at the beginning to what you know now?"
May this process aid in the healing of yourself and others.
With best wishes for peace profound
